Life Learning Academy is a charter high school in the San Francisco Unified School District.
The garden trellis project is part of an extensive re-working of the horticultural gardens program at the school, brought about in part to make room for the new dormitory. The landscape surrounding the new residence will include a walking path, organic garden including the new trellis, a greenhouse, beehives, dining area, and an open space for recreation.
The gardens have been planted and will be maintained by the students.
The materials for the trellis were donated by Ashby Lumber.
