Side Spray: Separate spray faucets use a separate handle that activates a spraying motion. This option provides you with the convenience when rinsing dishes or cleaning the sink. Your main tap will still have a regular water flow when you are not triggering the separate spray nozzle.
Motion Detection: This type of faucet is activated by a sensor which is typically placed near the base. When you place your hand over the sensor, water will come out. The sensors can also sense when you place a cup, or pot under the tap which activates water release as well, meanwhile. the handle offers familiar, manual operation, allowing you to adjust temperature and water flow.
Keep In Mind When Shopping For Kitchen Fixtures
If you are keeping your sink, then the faucet you purchase will need to match the number of mounting holes that are pre-drilled. Most sinks also come with mounting holes that are pre-drilled for faucets and other accessories such as side sprays or soap dispensers. Base plates allow you to cover extra holes if there may be any, but it is not a good idea to attempt drilling additional holes into an existing sink or countertop which is why we recommend matching your new faucet with the number of mounting holes in your sink.
