On Sunday, April 3, 2016, Ashby Lumber volunteered at the Havenscourt-Lockwood campus in East Oakland.
We were in good company as some of the other volunteers included Bill Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, NFL player Marshawn Lynch, Mayor Libby Schaaf, and Superintendent Antwan Wilson.
Ashby Lumber donated materials for the beautification project, and was mentioned in Bill’s speech.
The five schools on the campus serve 1,500 students.
The 5 schools on campus are:
• Lockwood Child Development Center
• Community United Elementary
• Futures Elementary
• Roots Academy Middle School
• Coliseum College Prep Academy
